Paraplegic wheelchair athlete Rick Hansen arrived in Canada in late August to begin the final leg of his odyssey. He had already travelled through 33 countries as an ambassador for the disabled. On August 25, he left St. John's, telling reporters he was aware of the potential for hardships ahead.
