Tens of thousands of people marched under a sea of blue and white flags in Montreal to mark the traditional Saint-Jean Baptiste Day holiday. Many wore pro-independence t-shirts and carried banners that read "Our true country is Quebec." Celine Courchesen (koor-shane) said the burial of the Meech Lake accord convinced her that Quebecers had to go it alone.
