It's great news for consumers. That's how Unitel President George Harvey greeted the news when federal regulators told his company it could compete in the long-distance telephone market. Harvey said it gave consumers the same edge that businesses had for years. (Unitel Communications launched its new system on October 19th for a handful of clients. Full service to selected cities began in early November. Unitel promised to undercut rivals by 15 per cent.)
