On April 18th Bosnian Serb forces allowed 147 Canadian peacekeepers into the besieged Muslim town of Srebrenica (shreh-breh-neet-zuh). The Canadians found a city full of deprivation and fear. Master Corporal Andrew Achtenberg of Thunder Bay returned to Canada after being wounded in both legs by sniper fire. He said every soldier who was assigned to the Bosnian city was affected by what he saw.
