Fifteen Canadian peacekeepers were taken hostage by Bosnian Serbs outside Sarajevo for three days -- apparently in retaliation for NATO air strikes. Major-General John MacInnis, commander of Canadian Forces in the former Yugoslavia, said the Canadians were manning an observation post in the weapon-exclusion zone around the Bosnian capital when they were grabbed.
