Major-General Brian Vernon went on the attack after being relieved of his role as head of the army in Ontario. It was for telling his superiors there was nothing harmful in a Canadian Airborne Regiment video that showed members giving themselves electric shocks. Chief of Defense staff John de Chastelain disagreed.
