Former junior hockey coach Graham James was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison on January 2nd for sexually assaulting two of his players. The abuse took place over a 10-year period, between 1984 and 1994, while James coached in the Western Hockey League in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. A few days after the sentence, one of Graham's victims, Sheldon Kennedy of the Boston Bruins, decided his story had to be told. He wouldn't hide behind a court order banning publication of victims' names.
