The community of St. Agathe was the first unexpected casualty of the flood of '97. The town had no permanent dike and a wall of water rushed in over a major highway. Resident Jeannot (jehn-NOH') Robert had trouble believing it was happening. (A few days later the community of Grand Pointe also succumbed to the flood waters.)
