A number of Good Samaritans emerged during the massive ice storm that knocked out power to more than 1.6-million customers in Quebec and eastern Ontario. Jim Hill of Vernon, Ont. drove around with a generator on the back of his four-by-four, helping his neighbors heat their homes and drain their basements.
