Three teenaged girls sobbed as they were found guilty of assault causing bodily harm in the savage beating that preceded Reena Virk's death. The Victoria-area teen had died on Nov. 14, 1997, but her body wasn't found for nine days until after police began probing rumors circulating among teens in Saanich, BC. Reena Virk's mother Suman said she was sorry for the girls, who were 14, 15 and 16. Three other teenaged girls pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm. A teenaged girl and boy were later tried separately and convicted of second-degree murder.
