There were long embraces as six CF-18 pilots greeted their loved ones at Four Wing, Cold Lake, Alberta on July 2. They were among 12 pilots to return home after weeks of dangerous bombing missions in NATO's air campaign in Yugoslavia. Audrey Karperien (car-prain) and her husband, Wayne, had a baby a short time before her pilot-husband flew off to war.
