Two Alberta oilpatch protesters were found guilty of a total of six charges in connection with oil and gas well vandalism. Wiebo Ludwig was convicted of five charges, the most serious of which was possession of explosives while Richard Boonstra was convicted of mischief endangering life. Ludwig's lawyer Paul Moreau said it was not the result he hoped for, in what he said had been a draining legal process.
