Independent MP Jack Ramsay was acquitted of unlawful confinement in an alleged incident that dated back to 1970 when he was a Mountie on a First Nation in northern Saskatchewan. Ramsay, who had earlier been convicted of the attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl in the same isolated community, said he was pleased with the verdict.
