Walkerton, Ont., Mayor David Thomson was unable to answer angry residents who wanted to know why the town didn't act sooner to prevent the tainted water tragedy. Residents weren't notified the water was contaminated until four days after test results showing high levels of E-Coli were given to the local utility. All the mayor could do was say he's sorry. Seven people died and about 2,500 became ill.
