Several hundred family members, Navy personnel and a band were on hand to welcome Canada's new submarine into Halifax on Oct. 23. The HMCS Victoria, and her crew of 52, spent 13 days bringing the ex-British Navy vessel to Nova Scotia. Sonar officer Chris Robinson said the new sub performed well. The Victoria was the first of four Upholder class diesel-electric submarines purchased from the Royal Navy.
