A 2-1 overtime win over Sweden gave Canada the bronze medal at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Moscow on January 5th. Jason Spezza of the OHL's Windsor Spitfires, the only Canadian named to the all-star team, was on the 2000 Canadian squad that also won bronze. Spezza said Canada worked hard even though the chance for a gold medal was gone. (Raffi Torres blasted home a shot from the face-off circle 37 seconds into overtime for the win.)
