Advocates for the disabled were pleased that Robert Latimer was refused an appeal of a life sentence for killing his disabled daughter. Frank Mountain of the Campaign Life Coalition said the January 18th decision sent a message to those who care for the disabled. (The high court ruled that Latimer's sentence of at least 10 years in prison should stand.)
