Roger Grimes, a 50-year-old former math teacher, union leader, hockey player and health minister became Newfoundland's new premier in February. Grimes stayed true to his low key form when commenting on his 14 vote victory over former fisheries minister John Efford at the Liberal Party leadership convention on February 3rd. (The final tally on the vote was 624 for Efford, 638 for Grimes.)
