The lawyer for sex killer Karla Homolka said on February 6th a death pool on his client had been set up on the Internet. Marc Labelle said Homolka was then staying at the Pinel Institute, a Montreal psychiatric hospital. She was originally sent to the medium-security Joliette penitentiary in Quebec to serve a 12-year sentence. But he was worried about her safety if she returned there. (On the web site, people were encouraged to guess when Homolka would die -- even though the site urged people not to take matters into their own hands.)
