A man who hit the prime minister in the face with a pie in PEI was found guilty of assault on April 4th. He said when he pied Jean Chretien last summer in Charlottetown, it was a harmless form of political protest. But a judge said the law did not distinguish between degrees of assault. Brown had this to say outside the courtroom. (Evan Wade Brown was sentenced to 30 days in jail on May 16th.)
