Greenpeace called it a victory for Canada -- and the planet. Canada and 177 other countries agreed on July 22nd to rules for implementing the Kyoto treaty on climate change. Greenpeace Canada spokesperson Jo Dufay said the agreement was something everyone should be happy about. (Dufay said the rules agreed to in Bonn, Germany weren't perfect but they were better than the alternatives. She called the agreement "another nail in the nuclear industry's coffin.")
