Stockwell Day used a speech in Montreal to launch his campaign to get back his job as leader of the Canadian Alliance. Day kicked off his campaign at the five-star Ritz-Carlton hotel -- the same hotel where Tory leader Brian Mulroney launched his 1983 run for the party leadership. Day told about 300 supporters that he would defy the "self-appointed" elites who said his campaign couldn't succeed.
