Newfoundlanders rolled out the red carpet last September 11th for thousands of people whose planes were forced to land in Gander. At the official Canadian ceremony to mark the anniversary of the attacks, Premier Roger Grimes praised the people of his province for opening their homes to stranded airline passengers. He said those people now tell stories about the sense of community and acts of kindness they experienced.
