A tour bus carrying 19 British and Canadian tourists went out of control and crashed October 30th in South Africa. Ten people were killed when the bus rolled off the highway near Piet Retief (PETE rah-TEEF') about 400 kilometers southeast of Johannesburg. Four Canadians were among the dead, and three were injured. Ron Crawford of Toronto was on the bus with his wife when it began skidding on a rain-slicked road and rolled off the highway. He said his rescue took about an hour.
