Authorities told Doreen Coolen last April that her only child, Private Richard Green, was one of four Canadians who died in Afghanistan. Coolen laid a wreath at the national cenotaph in Ottawa November 11th on behalf of all Canadian mothers who have lost sons or daughters in the military. Coolen said the feelings of anguish and loss are overwhelming.
