Canada will keep soldiers in Afghanistan for at least another year. Prime Minister Paul Martin made the announcement at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick on April 14th. (The plan called for the troops to stay for six months and be replaced by a second rotation which would stay on until the summer of 2005.)
