A slip of the tongue by Paul Martin caused the prime minister some embarrassment. Martin referred twice to invading Norway during the Second World War when he spoke April 14th to soldiers at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick. Defense Minister David Pratt assured us Marlin knew full well that Canada participated in the invasion of Normandy -- not Norway. Pratt called it a simple mistake.
