About one-thousand people, chanting "We love weed," marched in downtown Toronto May 1st. The event was part of the Million Marijuana March, held in more than 200 cities around the world, to demand full legalization of pot. The Toronto marchers were led by prominent Ontario marijuana crusader Alison Myrden, who uses pot to ease the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. She says it's important to raise awareness. (The marchers had no interference from police; officers actually escorted them through the downtown streets. In fact, one marcher holding a large joint had his picture taken with one of the officers.)
