Criminal charges were dropped against an American pilot who bombed Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan. The widow of Sergeant Marc Leger, one of the soldiers killed in the friendly fire incident, expressed frustration and anger. Marley Leger said Major Harry Schmidt should have spent time in jail for what he did. (The bombing of Canadian troops killed four men and wounded eight others.)
