A judge found a Lethbridge, Alberta alderwoman guilty of public mischief. Judge Peter Caffaro said he believed Dar Heatherington made up stories to police about being stalked and instead wrote racy letters and e-mails herself. Canadian Press reporter Judy Monchuk said the judge found evidence on Heatherington's own computer pretty compelling. (Heatherington was given a 20-month conditional sentence.)
