Prime Minister Paul Martin called the national health agreement that was signed September 15th a long-lasting document. Martin told a news conference the deal is better than the one penned by the former Chretien government because all governments have committed to it. (The agreement would see the federal government give the provinces 41 billion dollars for health care over 10 years.)
