About a half-dozen people gathered outside the Halifax home of Lieutenant Chris Saunders to express their grief. Saunders died October 6th as the result of an electrical fire onboard the sub HMCS Chicoutimi. An Irish coroner determined that Saunders died as the result of the inhalation of hot fire gases.
