Airport officials say emergency crews responded within minutes on October 14th after a 747 cargo plane crashed on takeoff at Halifax airport. The tail of the jet could be seen lying in a field near the runway, while the rest of the plane was in pieces after cutting a swath through a wooded area about a kilometer away. RCMP Constable Joe Taplin confirmed none of the seven crew members on board survived.
