The premier of Newfoundland and Labrador ended his flag protest January 10th, ordering the Maple Leaf once again be flown over provincial buildings. Danny Williams says he made his point about offshore energy revenues. Prime Minister Martin called the protest inappropriate. (The flags were ordered down in December 2004 after the province failed to reach an offshore energy deal with the federal government.)
