Paul Martin appeared emotionally shaken as he saw first-hand the devastation caused by the December 2004 tsunami. During a stop January 16th in Phuket (poo-KEHT'), Thailand, the prime minister said the loss of life was almost beyond comprehension. (The tsunami killed as many as 180,000 people in Asia.)
