Gilles Duceppe dashed the hopes of many Quebec separatists, saying he wouldn't seek the leadership of the Parti Quebecois. Duceppe announced June 13th he'd remain as leader of the Bloc Quebecois, to fight the next federal election. Duceppe described Quebec and Ottawa as two fronts in the same war for independence, with Ottawa playing an equally important role as Quebec.
