A BC ferry ran aground and into moored boats while entering Horeshoe Bay in west Vancouver. Shawn Atleo, a BC representative with the Assembly of First Nations, was on the bow of the Queen of Oak Bay when the ferry lost power. He describes what happened after passengers were instructed over the ship's loudspeaker to "brace for impact." (The ship carried 589 passengers and crew members. There were no injuries.)
