A series of explosions rocked London on the morning of July 7th. The transit bombings killed 56 people, including the four bombers. About 750 people were injured, 350 of them seriously enough to require hospital treatment. Some lost limbs or suffered severe burns. Prime Minister Martin offered his condolences to the victims.
