Four Canadian ships headed off to Louisiana on September 6th carrying supplies and help for hurricane-ravaged Louisiana. The supply ships and divers were part of a broad Canadian aid mission dubbed Operation Unison. US Ambassador David Wilkins joined Prime Minister Martin at dockside in Halifax for the sendoff, and thanked Canada for being a good neighbor and friend.
