Prime Minister Martin announced that Canada's Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) would fly to quake-ravaged Pakistan. An October 8th magnitude-7.6 quake left more than 87-thousand dead, mostly in Pakistani Kashmir. The quake destroyed the homes of about three million people. Martin said October 14th he hoped Canada's assistance would make a difference.
