Conrad Black said he'd be vindicated of accusations he misappropriated millions of dollars in cash from Hollinger International. The former media tycoon made a brief appearance November 24th at a book launch in Toronto at the Albany Club. Black was peppered with questions from reporters outside the club about the charges, and shared his impression of US attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. (The prosecution team would be helped by Black's former right-hand man, David Radler, who struck a deal with Fitzgerald before Black was indicted.)
