Two Canadians were among four foreigners taken hostage in Iraq. The two were in the country on a humanitarian mission. A previously unknown group -- The Swords of Righteousness Brigade -- claimed the four hostages were spies working undercover as Christian peace activists. Prime Minister Paul Martin said the Canadians were not spies.
