Canadian hostages James Loney and Harmeet Sooden and Briton Norman Kember, were freed from their four-month captivity in a multinational operation involving Canadian special forces soldiers operating for the first time in Iraq. Prime Minister Harper called the release of the three Christian peacemakers "wonderful news." (All three were checked out at a hospital and were said to be fine.)
