Billionaire Ken Thomson, the art collector and newspaperman who developed his father's media empire into a global information giant, died June 12th at the age of 82. Matthew Teitelbaum of the Art Gallery of Ontario said Thomson was a great benefactor who wanted to share his vast collection with the country. (Thomson died of an apparent heart attack.)
