Canadian and American trade officials worked out the final wording of the Canada-US softwood lumber agreement reached in April. Trade Minister David Emerson made the announcement July 1st in Geneva, Switzerland. (Emerson and US Trade Representative Susan Schwab inked the text in Geneva while both were attending World Trade Organization talks.)
