Three military personnel were killed and four injured in a helicopter crash during a Canadian Forces search and rescue training exercise off eastern Nova Scotia. Mel Rhynald, who was working the late shift July 13th at the SeaFreez plant on Canso's waterfront, said they saw the chopper fly over. (The crash killed Sergeant Duane Brazil, Master Corporal Kirk Noel and Corporal Trevor McDavid.)
