Fierce storms hit the western part of the country on January 9th. British Columbians dug their way out of a blast of winter that bought hurricane force winds and blizzards. Countless motorists and travelers were stranded. In Onion Lake, Saskatchewan two people were found frozen to death on the side of the road.)
