Sadness swept over the Winnipeg fire department following the deaths of two of its veterans who died February 4th while battling a house fire. Fire chief Jim Brennan said the loss took a toll on the fire crew. (The two dead firefighters, both captains, were part of a crew inside the Winnipeg building when they were hit by a sudden, violent burst of flames and extreme temperatures.)
