A 17-year veteran of the Laval Police force was killed in a drug raid March 2nd south of Montreal. Detective Sergeant Daniel Tessier had been working on drug-related investigations for only a week. Laval Police Chief Jean-Pierre Gariepy said people -- and even police officers -- don't always realize how dangerous a situation can be. (Another officer was shot in the arm. A man and woman were arrested.)
