A Canadian soldier was charged with manslaughter March 11th in the death of one of his comrades in Afghanistan. The charges under the National Defense Act were in connection with the August, 2006 shooting death of Master Corporal Jeffrey Scott Walsh during a routine patrol outside Kandahar. Walsh's father Ben said the charges didn't really matter. (Master Corporal Robbie Fraser was charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of negligent performance of duty.)
